The clarion call could not be denied as the forces arrayed against careless admins and site staff was too overpowering.  These minions then got the bright idea to force me out of retirement, which was annoying to say the least, since up until this moment, I had been enjoying some iced tea while getting a tan on a remote beach out in Tahiti.  But such was life and the steady beat of crap anime mixed in with awesome shows here and there continued to roll on, and they convinced me to go back to covering it once more. So what do I do here? Well, read on after the jump:

Most of you already know who I am, but for anyone who’s stumbled on this blog, I go by Moonlily, an anime freak extraordinaire who spends far too much time writing about anime and when I’m not, I can usually be found plying my trade as a Touhou addict trying my best to 1-CC Normal mode (since easy mode is for elementary schoolchildren) or beating some of the member base at Melty Blood.  And as you can probably guess, my role on this site is as administrator (despite the alarming fact that I lack even the most rudimentary of tech skills needed to make improvements) and of course, to blog about anime and what I think about it.  In the rare instances that I’m truly bored, you may find me uploading some gameplay videos of mostly me getting slapped around by some Touhou boss.  Yes, it’s demoralizing at times, but that’s how it goes.  You graze what you can, bomb when necessary, and pray that you somehow make it.  It is worth it though.

In any event, I’m pretty much here to stay and will continue to give my fangirltastic perspective on whatever show strikes my fancy at the moment.  I do like to think that I have some degree of credibility after downing over 100 anime series and movies over the course of my unbelievably short lifespan.  With such a large sample under my belt, I often find myself gravitating towards slice of life series and romantic sappy stuff, though mysteries are certainly enjoyable and action isn’t too bad as long as they can make something interesting out of it unlike the thousand of mech shows that are variations upon the same old theme.  My all-time favorite series from an objective standpoint is still Monster, though subjectively, Gunslinger Girl remains my all-time favorite, partly because that’s what got me back into anime after an 18-month hiatus.

So now that you’ve got a sample of a brief history of my life, feel free to stick around for the articles.  As the title of this post suggests, I can be a bit caustic at times when I openly mock shows, but it’s all in the best interests of steering people away from crap.  After all, I watch crap anime so that you don’t have to.
