At first, I was trying to make sure that I wasn't seeing things when I saw the subtle changes in the shading from the weather effects. It did help make the episode that much more absorbing. That said, this episode laid the drama on pretty thick and it does capture the silliness of high school relationships. Not to say that adults don't act this way sometimes, but I sure don't miss my high school days.

Gotta agree with Baka-Raptor though. Sunohara was a surprise voice of reason given his comedic role in all the other instances we've seen of him. Had he been a bit more sagacious during the main series, I'd have enjoyed him a lot more.

I love Sunohara. =(

The thing is, though, in the VN this is how he normally always is whenever Tomoya has issues. I think the reason we barely see this side of him in the anime is because he always has Nagisa there, so Sunohara gets shafted to be nothing more than the occasional comic relief, most of the time.

Sunohara usually gets on my nerves, but in this episode, and I can't believe I'm saying this, he was a great character.
