If you’re anything like me, then you love a good amount of action in your anime/manga, with bonus points being awarded not only for how awesome said action is, but how hilarious it can be, as well. No other series comes out on top for me with this than Hokuto no Ken, or Fist of the North Star for the moonspeak impaired. Hokuto no Ken can sometimes only be described as an absolute good, and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise doesn’t know the meaning of good entertainment and you should probably stop talking to this person.

That all said and done, as much as I’d love to go over the entire series right now, I can’t, and I’m only here to focus on the revealing of Hokuto Musou, or, again for the moonspeak impaired, Dynasty Warriors: Fist of the North Star. Revealed last night over a NicoNico broadcast, this is to be the newest Hokuto no Ken video game for the PS3 and XBOX 360. As the name implies, it is also a Dynasty Warriors game, in the same vein of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam, except much cooler.

Now, I’m not normally one to jump for joy at a news of a new Dynasty Warriors game. I mean, I haven’t touched a single one since 3, but, I am the kind of guy to jump for joy at the news that I’ll be able to unleash the Hokuto Hyakuretsu-Ken in the comfort of my own living room in nice HD deliciousness. Anyone who enjoys fun would be excited for that.

The only video I can find of the stream on youtube is lacking sound, and the quality isn’t the best, but it shows off the game, and it’s got most of what I’d expect. One man, lots of post-apocalyptic gangsters, the ability to make them explode in mere seconds, it’s all there. I think for any fan of the series, this’ll be a ton of fun to play, even if the gameplay itself is pretty shallow at times.  Though, it’s not like anyone was really expecting super deep gameplay from a HnK game, and I find that games like this can be incredibly fun to just sit down, relax, and play pretty casually after a long day of school/work.

So, I don’t know about most of our readers (if any of you are still alive?), but this is something I’d purchase on day 1, and I’m definitely going to follow through with that.

If one is curious, the official site can be seen here. Though, there’s not much to really satisfy you.
