Halo Legends: Episode 2, “Duel”

You may be wondering why there was no post last Saturday. Well, someone decided to release Halo Legends episodes every two weeks now. I saw no announcement of this anywhere, so I don’t even. Know why, that is.

- I thought the Arbiter armor was metallic gray? Seems like that ain’t real gold, and that everything about this short is cheap.
In any case, this short apparently takes place during the early days of the Covenant Empire, when the Sangheili-San ‘Shyuum (Elite-Prophet) alliance was formed. Yet, there’s Hunters and Grunts featured. I’m not sure, but I’m certain those weren’t subjugated by the Covenant until much later. Say, centuries later. Well, technicalities aside.
An oversized moon reflects upon a still pond. Somewhere, an astronomer is crying, when he shouldn’t. As Unskippable any genre-savvy fellow would inform you, everybody knows the moon is bigger in Japan… Land of the Mooninites. (continue reading…)
Microsoft Announces Halo Legends

Incredibly shocking news to many, but no, I’m not going blind and the Anime category is there on purpose.
Microsoft is indeed making a Halo anime DVD for release early next year, recruiting five Japanese animation studios: Production I.G., Toei Animation, BONES, Casio Entertainment, and Studio 4°C. It’s being made in the same vein as the Animatrix, or Batman: Gotham Knight.

Cloud’s Corner: Sengoku BASARA

‘Sup guys. I’m Cloud, the newest blog writer here at Visionary Nexus. I’ll be covering both anime and video games, either whatever seems to be overlooked by the rest of the writers here or what seems to be too old-school for them. I’m sarcastic, kind of a douche, and I can get pretty asinine and ridiculous. Don’t worry, most of the time I’m kidding, and I honestly don’t judge people too harshly if it turns out they like shit. If you like shit, then you like shit. I even like some shit. We all do; why lie? I’d like to start off with video games, since I’ve actually been playing them lately whilst I’ve been getting further and further behind on anime, but I honestly haven’t played anything lately worth mentioning(dammit, Cave Story Wii, hurry up and get on the damn Shop Channel!), but I’ve been watching one anime that everyone else has neglected to mention until now, even though I’m sure they’re all aware of its existence.
